Do I need to know which session I want before messaging?
No, just tell me where you are. The usual windows are these: the pregnancy session is done between the 28th and 34th week, the newborn session in the first 10 to 15 days of life, the smash cake session from 8 months to 2 years. With your due date, we can work out where you stand in one message.
How far in advance should I book?
During pregnancy we note down the period, not the exact day. The exact date of the newborn session is fixed after the birth, because before that no one really knows when the baby will arrive. For pregnancy, the week is what matters; for a christening or a birthday, it's the date of the ceremony that counts, which you usually already have. Message me as soon as you have one, even an approximate one.
What do I need to tell you to get a quote?
Tell me which session you're interested in and roughly when, and I'll get back to you. The quote keeps two items separate: the session itself and what you choose afterwards, once you've seen the photos. That's why I prefer to send you a quote for your specific case rather than a generic answer.
